Narine Milter, APRN, FNP-C, brings a wealth of experience and a patient-centered approach to Wiseman Family Practice. Her journey in healthcare began in 1989 in Kiev, Ukraine, where she started her career as a nurse. After moving to the United States in 1993, Narine initially transitioned into the tech industry, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science in 2000. However, her passion for nursing remained strong, leading her to return to her true calling.
Driven by her desire to care for others, Narine completed an Accelerated Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing program at Rush University in Chicago. She then honed her skills as a registered nurse in the Intensive Medical Care Unit (IMCU) at Northwestern Medicine in Chicago. While working in this demanding environment, she pursued further education, obtaining a Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Alverno College in Milwaukee, WI. This dedication to continuous learning and advanced practice underscores her commitment to providing the highest quality care within wiseman family healthcare settings.
In August 2021, Narine and her family relocated to Austin, Texas, and she became a valued member of the Wiseman Family Practice team. Board certified by the Texas Board of Nursing, Narine is also actively involved in several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and Texas Nurse Practitioners, demonstrating her commitment to staying at the forefront of her field. Her diverse experience spans cardiology, home healthcare, and the management of both acute and chronic conditions.
Patient education is central to Narine’s practice philosophy. She is passionate about empowering individuals to actively participate in their health journey. Her clinical interests are broad, encompassing general family medicine, integrative and functional medicine, nutrition, bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, and pediatrics. At Wiseman Family Practice, Narine is dedicated to helping patients of all ages achieve optimal wellness through proactive and comprehensive care.
Outside of her professional life at Wiseman Family Practice, Narine enjoys living in the Leander community with her family. She values quality time with loved ones and also finds relaxation and invigoration through reading, traveling, exploring the vibrant Austin area, and maintaining an active lifestyle through fitness. Her well-rounded approach to life mirrors her holistic approach to patient care, making her a compassionate and effective healthcare provider at Wiseman Family Practice.
