Our apple season is a highlight of the year, kicking off in late July with the arrival of the Pristine apple, a delightful early variety. We continue through the season with 18 diverse apple types, each offering unique flavors and textures, until early November. While the exact end of our apple picking season can shift slightly with the weather, our Facebook page is always updated to give you the most current picking information. At Cider Hill Family Orchard, we are committed to providing a bountiful and varied apple harvest for your family to enjoy.
For those who love a hands-on experience, Cider Hill Family Orchard is a U-Pick orchard. You have the choice to personally select your apples straight from the trees, or if you prefer, we can have them pre-picked for you. To enhance your orchard experience, our Apple Wagon provides a scenic ride into the heart of the orchard. Once you arrive amongst the trees, feel free to explore at your own pace, breathe in the fresh air, and enjoy the beauty of the orchard as you select your perfect apples.
Beyond apples, the fun continues at Cider Hill Family Orchard. Starting the third weekend in September, our pumpkin patch bursts into vibrant color, offering a wide selection of pumpkins perfect for fall decorating and carving. For those who enjoy angling, our five fishing ponds provide a relaxing spot to see who can reel in the biggest catch. The grounds of Cider Hill are expansive and picturesque, inviting you to bring a picnic, relax under the shade of mature trees in our front or back yards, and simply enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

Our U-Pick offerings extend beyond apples and pumpkins. In July and August, you can also pick your own delicious blackberries, adding another sweet treat to your summer experience. Further expanding our fruit selection, in 2016 we introduced sweet and tart cherries to Cider Hill. These flavorful cherries typically reach their peak ripeness in June, offering an early summer delight. And finally, for fresh summer produce, we grow sweet corn, ready for harvest in July and August, completing our diverse agricultural offerings at Cider Hill Family Orchard.
