Patrick Dale Rolison Obituary: A Life of Compassion Remembered by Riemann Family Funeral Home

Patrick Dale Rolison, a resident of Pass Christian, Mississippi, passed away on August 21, 2024, at the age of 28, at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport. His departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, and he will be profoundly missed by his family and friends.

Remembered for his deeply compassionate nature, Patrick possessed what many described as the heart of a warrior combined with the wisdom of an old soul. He was known for his sweet and loving demeanor, always ready to extend a helping hand to anyone in need, simply to bring a smile to their face. Patrick’s capacity to love was immense, and his charming personality had a unique ability to brighten any room he entered. The absence of such a warm and vibrant spirit is deeply felt by those who cherished him.

Patrick is survived by his loving father, Jimmy Ray Rolison, and his mother, Tracy Oxendine. He will also be fondly remembered by his siblings: Willie Ray Oxendine, Jr., Brandon Ray Oxendine, Astoria Lee Oxendine, and Michael Ray Oxendine. His grandmother, Gayla Ann Rosenpie, and grandfather, Michael Allen Rager, along with his uncle, Phillip Rosenpie, and numerous other relatives and friends, too many to name individually, also mourn his passing.

Those who knew Patrick witnessed his selfless acts of kindness regularly. As one friend fondly recalled, upon hearing of someone’s illness or hardship, Patrick would without hesitation ride his bike to their home, bringing homemade chicken noodle soup and flowers he had picked along the way, a simple yet profound gesture to lift their spirits and bring them joy. This was the essence of Patrick – a man who found fulfillment in caring for others. His actions left a lasting impression on those around him, and his memory will be treasured forever.

The world has undoubtedly lost a gentle soul. Patrick’s life, though marked by challenges, revealed a man of humility, love, and gentleness. His presence enriched the lives of those fortunate enough to know him, and his absence is deeply mourned. While his time with us was shorter than desired, his loved ones take solace in knowing that his spirit, like that of a dedicated soldier, now rests in peace.
