We are thrilled to announce and warmly welcome Jonathan as the new Lead Pastor at Westside Family Church. Jonathan’s journey and deep-rooted passion for ministry make him an exceptional leader to guide our congregation into the future.
Raised in the Atlanta region, Jonathan’s foundation in faith was cultivated from a young age within the church where his father served as an Episcopal Pastor. His love for community began early, meeting his wife-to-be, Lindsey, in high school. Jonathan pursued higher education at the University of Georgia, becoming a devoted Bulldogs fan, and earned a degree in business.
A pivotal moment in Jonathan’s life was at a Passion event, where his faith was profoundly ignited, leading him to dedicate his life and professional endeavors to Jesus Christ. Following his business degree, he spent several years in marketing while actively engaging in ministry through Acts 29 Ministries and Bethel Mission Outreach, even leading mission teams to Haiti. Responding to a growing call to ministry, Jonathan pursued a Master of Divinity degree at Asbury Theological Seminary in Lexington, KY, supported by a scholarship.
During his seminary studies, Jonathan gained valuable pastoral experience serving full-time as a youth pastor. His trajectory in ministry continued upward when, in 2014, he was invited to join the pastoral team of Passion City Church in Atlanta, under the leadership of Louie Giglio. At Passion City Church, Jonathan played a significant role as the Family Pastor and contributed to weekend services as part of the Teaching Team.
In 2017, driven by his commitment to teaching God’s Word and developing devoted followers of Jesus, Jonathan accepted a call to Hills Church in El Dorado Hills, CA. As Lead Pastor, he successfully nurtured the church community, fostered growth, and adeptly navigated the unique challenges presented by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Now, the Westside Family Church eagerly anticipates the leadership and vision Jonathan brings to our community. We extend a heartfelt welcome to Jonathan, his wife Lindsey, and their children, Lily-Hope and Sawyer, as they become part of our Westside family. We are excited for this new chapter and the direction Jonathan will lead Westside Family Church.
