My name is Jenna Clem (Huber), and Joe Huber’s Family Farm and Restaurant is more than just a business to me – it’s my family’s legacy. Our family farm, a beloved landmark in Southern Indiana, is facing a critical moment, and we need your help to ensure its future. This November 17th, 2018, an auction will determine the fate of Joe Huber’s Family Farm and Restaurant, and my family is doing everything we can to retain it for generations to come.
My father, Joseph Huber III, dedicated his entire life to this farm, just as his father, Joseph Huber Jr., did before him. Tragically, my father passed away in a mowing accident at our home on July 27th, 2015. His loss has been deeply felt, and in the years since, disagreements within the family have arisen regarding the future of the farm. While some family members prioritize financial gain, my husband and I are committed to preserving the Huber family tradition. We have made multiple sincere offers to purchase the farm, but unfortunately, these have been disregarded. As the next generation, I can assure you that we are deeply invested in continuing this legacy.

Growing up on Joe Huber’s Family Farm & Restaurant was an idyllic childhood. Like so many in our community, I cherish countless memories of “the farm.” Whether it’s picking pumpkins in the fall, savoring the famous chicken and dumplings, or indulging in warm fried biscuits with apple butter, Joe Huber’s holds a special place in the hearts of many. In July 2018, my husband and I made the decision to move back to the farm from Louisville. It was not an easy choice, especially given the painful memories associated with the accident that took my father. However, my desire to provide my two sons with the same incredible upbringing I experienced on this farm outweighed my reservations. They have embraced farm life wholeheartedly, and I’ve rediscovered my own love for this land.
Since returning, we have become increasingly involved in the daily operations, working tirelessly to uphold the standards set by my father and grandfather. I have never known life without Joe Huber’s Farm, and the thought of losing it is unbearable. I am determined to fight for my father’s and grandfather’s legacy. They were the epitome of hard work and dedication. I remember my father’s unwavering commitment – waking up at all hours to protect the crops, always striving to do what was right, and instilling in us the importance of integrity. His words, “Dream Big and WORK HARD!” resonate deeply within me, fueling my resolve to keep his dream alive.

I cannot achieve this alone. We are reaching out to our community for support. The funds raised will be crucial on November 17th, 2018, to assist in our efforts to retain Joe Huber’s Family Farm and Restaurant at auction. Transparency is paramount to us. Despite any public perception, we are not wealthy individuals. My husband and I are prepared to invest our personal savings alongside community contributions to honor my father’s and grandfather’s legacy. Should we be unsuccessful in retaining the farm, every penny raised will be donated to WHAS Crusade for Children, a charity close to my father’s and grandfather’s hearts. Thank you for your continued support and belief in Joe Huber’s Family Farm & Restaurant.
