Our inaugural family Halloween costume, and still a sentimental favorite! With our eldest daughter captivated by The Little Mermaid, it was the perfect theme to dive into for our first family ensemble. While we purchased some elements, I always love adding personal touches to make our costumes distinctively ours. Alice in Wonderland Costume – 2015
Choosing our family Halloween costume in 2015 presented a unique and joyous challenge – pregnancy! Navigating costume ideas with a growing belly required some creative thinking. Initially, we considered incorporating the pregnancy into the theme, but being in the early stages, it didn’t quite align. However, after my daughters watched Alice in Wonderland repeatedly, the idea of an Alice in Wonderland family costume sparked instant excitement. Peter Pan and Neverland Family Costume – 2016
With three daughters, the quest for a family Halloween costume with at least two prominent “girl roles” was essential. Our Greatest Showman family Halloween costume in 2018 was perhaps the most challenging to bring to life. Despite the movie’s immense popularity, pre-made costumes were surprisingly scarce. Piecing together individual components to capture the essence of The Greatest Showman required dedication, but the final result was incredibly rewarding. Dressing my three daughters as the Sanderson Sisters from Hocus Pocus had long been a Halloween dream.
