It’s always a bit surreal to talk about these things, but yes, I recently had the wonderful opportunity to be featured on Focus on the Family’s radio broadcast and podcast. We discussed my book, Permanent Markers: Spiritual Life Skills to Write on Your Kids’ Hearts, published by Harvest House.
Despite battling a serious case of imposter syndrome, the experience was truly remarkable. If you enjoy content like this, you might also find my previous discussions on FamilyLife Today interesting.
And guess what? I’ve been invited back to Focus on the Family for another recording in October! I’m still a little stunned by it all. I’d love for you to listen to this first episode and see what you think.
More importantly, my heart is to encourage you in the incredible journey of raising children who genuinely love Jesus and live out their faith.
If you’re new to the book and the concepts within, I offer a wealth of free printables on my website. These resources are designed to help you teach the book’s essential life skills and engage your kids in meaningful, godward habits.
I deeply understand the daily whirlwind of family life. I know it feels impossible to add one more thing to already overflowing schedules, especially when just getting socks into the hamper feels like a win.
However, I also recognize the critical need to instill lasting habits in our children – habits that will equip them for a vibrant relationship with Jesus. My book offers practical, outside-the-box ideas for discipling your kids in the midst of your real, messy, “please-eat-your-vegetables” kind of life.
Because He absolutely loves our wonderfully unique, sometimes chaotic kids. (Mine included!)
