During our whirlwind birthday weekend mini-golf adventure across the Florida panhandle in June 2021, Coconut Creek Family Fun Park in Panama City Beach stood out, even though we didn’t get to play a round. From the road, the curb appeal is undeniable. A cascading waterfall, lush green mini-golf courses, and a delightful collection of safari animal figures immediately catch the eye. This safari-themed park looks impeccably maintained and inviting.

While we were unable to experience the mini-golf firsthand, the course layout appeared to prioritize putting challenges through varied terrain, large boulders, and wooden elements, rather than elaborate thematic integration within each hole. Wanting a better perspective, we headed to the deck overlooking the giant maze, hoping for an elevated view of the mini-golf area. However, we quickly realized that the best vantage point remains from the main road, perfectly showcasing the park’s attractive facade.

We were keen to capture some closer photos of the course and even offered to purchase a t-shirt in exchange for a quick photo opportunity on the greens. Unfortunately, our request was politely declined, with the staff explaining that course access was only permitted to paying players. Having already played several rounds of mini-golf under the Florida sun earlier that day, we simply didn’t have the energy for another 18 holes at that moment.

Despite not playing, our initial impression of Coconut Creek Family Fun Park was overwhelmingly positive. The park’s pristine condition and eye-catching safari theme make it a visually appealing destination for families seeking fun in Panama City Beach. The promise of two 18-hole mini-golf courses and a large Gran Maze suggests a variety of activities for all ages.

For those planning a visit to Coconut Creek Family Fun Park, keep in mind the park offers two rounds of mini-golf for a slightly discounted price, and children 5 and under play for free. While we can’t speak to the gameplay experience directly, the beautiful setting and family-friendly atmosphere certainly make Coconut Creek Family Fun Park a place worth considering for your Panama City Beach itinerary.
