Arnold’s Family Fun: Your Ultimate Guide to Family Fun in Oaks, PA

Looking for the perfect spot where fun knows no bounds for the whole family? Arnold’s Family Fun Center at the Factory in Oaks, Pennsylvania, just outside of Philadelphia, is your answer! We were invited to experience Arnold’s, and we’re still buzzing about it. We even partnered with them for a giveaway in our Lehigh Valley Day Trips Facebook Group because we believe in sharing the best family experiences. (Full transparency: our visit was hosted by Arnold’s, but this review is entirely our own, unpaid and honest).

Let’s be real, indoor play spaces can be a mixed bag for parents. Often, they’re loud, offer zero comfortable seating, and the food is… well, let’s not talk about it. While the kids might be in heaven at trampoline parks and similar venues, for adults, 20 minutes can feel like an eternity. Participating can be fun sometimes, but it can also leave you feeling physically drained for days.

Arnold’s Family Fun Center at the Factory in Oaks completely shatters that mold. This isn’t just another indoor play space; it’s genuinely AWESOME. Parents, listen up – this place is for YOU too! Your kids will adore it, but you’ll actually enjoy yourself and want to return. Let’s dive into why Arnold’s is a game-changer for family fun.

Experience the Thrill of Go-Karts at Arnold’s

The adult Go-Karts at Arnold’s are seriously FAST. We’re talking drifting, laughing-until-you-cry, adrenaline-pumping fast. While the Sodi Pro Karts (for those 60” and taller) are said to be even quicker, you’ll feel like a racing pro in the classic Arnold’s Go-Karts. Choose from single rider karts or double karts to share the fun!

Little ones aren’t left out of the racing action! Arnold’s has child-friendly Go-Karts with their own dedicated track. Our youngest (age 5) zoomed around in a smaller kart, while our 8-year-old daughter raced alongside older kids. The staff was fantastic, quickly and safely resolving any minor track incidents to keep the fun rolling. The kids had a blast racing together for a good long time!

Dive into Laser Tag Excitement at Arnold’s

We were too engrossed in the Laser Tag competition at Arnold’s Family Fun Center at the Factory in Oaks to snap any photos, but trust us, it’s a blast! The arena is perfectly designed – not too dark to be scary for younger kids, yet filled with exciting obstacles for strategic play. It had been ages (maybe decades!) since my last Laser Tag game, and it was just as much fun as I remembered.

Family Bowling Fun at Arnold’s

Believe it or not, our visit to Arnold’s marked our family’s first bowling experience together! Bowling is the only activity at Arnold’s that requires reservations, easily made here. We recommend booking your lane for the third hour of your visit and combining it with a meal for a perfect family outing.

Arnold’s makes bowling easy and enjoyable for everyone. The setup is simple, and scoring is automated. A fantastic feature is the ability to customize bumpers for each player – turning them “on” or “off” individually at the start of each turn. Ramps for younger bowlers are also readily available, along with shoes and balls in various sizes. The bowling alley itself is clean and well-maintained. Our family competition was fierce, with Dad taking home the bragging rights this time! An hour of lane time was just right to finish our game, rehydrate, and enjoy a delicious meal.

Delicious Dining Options at Arnold’s

Dining at many indoor play spaces is often an afterthought, with limited and unappetizing choices. Arnold’s Family Fun Center in Oaks is a delightful exception! Yes, they have the usual snacks, candies, and ice cream treats. But they also offer a substantial menu featuring pizza, wings, hoagies (subs or grinders, depending on your regional dialect!), burgers, grilled chicken, and even cheesesteaks! Protein options at an indoor play space? Yes, please! And for the adults, they even have boozy drinks available. Check out their full menu here. Our kids happily shared a burger and fries, and we devoured some seriously tasty boneless wings. The staff even brought us a pitcher of ice water without us even asking.

Conquer the Ropes Courses at Arnold’s

Our 8-year-old daughter is a ropes course enthusiast, and she was thoroughly impressed with the ropes course at Arnold’s Family Fun Center at the Factory in Oaks! She felt secure and challenged at the same time. But what truly sets Arnold’s ropes course apart is the inclusion of a lower ropes course, just off the ground, in addition to the high ropes course for older kids. This was a game-changer for our 5-year-old son! He’s often felt a bit envious of his older sister on high ropes courses, and even if he were tall enough, heights make him a little nervous. The lower ropes course allowed him to experience the fun and challenge of a ropes course without any height-related anxieties. Kudos to Arnold’s for thinking of the littlest adventurers – our son had an absolute blast!

Explore Black Light Miniature Golf at Arnold’s

The Black Light Miniature Golf at Arnold’s Family Fun Center features a fun “Under the Sea” theme. The course is perfectly sized – long enough to feel like a complete game, but not so long that it dominates your entire visit. Putters of different sizes and a rainbow of neon-colored golf balls are available at the start of the course.

Enjoy Rides and Bouncy Houses at Arnold’s

Arnold’s Family Fun Center in Oaks offers a fantastic selection of rides for kids! (And yes, adults can even join in on some of the ride fun). There were multiple bouncy houses, which were a huge hit with our son.

Arcade Adventures at Arnold’s

The Arcade at Arnold’s boasts an impressive variety of games, from the latest releases to beloved classics. My personal favorites were the jumbo-sized versions of classic games like “Connect 4” and “Space Invaders!” Like many modern arcades, credits can go quickly, so strategize your game plan! We recommend saving the Arcade for the end of your visit, as the other experiences at Arnold’s are truly unique.

No Admission Fee, Free Parking, and Flexible Pay-for-Play Options!

We LOVE that Arnold’s offers free admission, free parking, and doesn’t require reservations (except for bowling). They have a range of credit and experience packages to suit your family’s preferences and budget. Pricing package examples can be found here. Pro tip: Follow Arnold’s on Instagram and Facebook to catch their amazing special offers!

There’s so much to do at Arnold’s that we didn’t even get to try everything before the kids were happily exhausted! (We missed the rock wall and only experienced one of the XD Theater rides). Both kids were sound asleep within minutes of the car ride home.

Kid-Approved: Arnold’s Family Fun Center Reviews from the Toughest Critics

Our 5-year-old son’s honest review: “The train ride was one of my favorites. I loved racing in the race car with you, but Daddy won. I loved bowling. I loved that you were right near me on the ropes.”

Our 8-year-old daughter’s unedited thoughts: “It was really fun and kid-friendly. They have a restaurant if you get hungry and need food fast. It was really great! I really recommend it for people who like Arcade games because they have a giant arcade. You can play millions of games in there! You can also take pictures with the mascots, and they have a bowling alley. I would rate it 5 stars out of 5 stars. One thing I liked was that the ropes course was higher on mine, and they made sure you were safe with a harness. One thing I didn’t like was that the claw machines at Arnold’s were really hard. They can use up a lot of Arcade points, so I don’t suggest you use the claw machine.”

Dad’s Take on Arnold’s Family Fun Center:

“I think it’s a great place for family activities. The options are pretty varied. The Go-Kart racing was super fun, and the Karts had more power than I expected, making racing really fun, even with the kids. Bowling was really enjoyable. The food was tasty, and it’s a fantastic option for activities when the weather outside isn’t ideal. The ropes course having two difficulty levels based on children’s sizes was a big plus. The arcade games seemed a bit pricey. The indoor rides were great for the kids. There were plenty of seating areas for parents while the kids explored. I can easily see our family going there a few times a year, especially when it gets colder. Racing was my favorite part.”
