What We Like: This all-encompassing resort truly has it all for an action-packed family vacation. Boasting over 20 restaurants, a plethora of complimentary activities, an enormous water park, and free kids club programs for children from infants to teens (ages 0-17), boredom is simply not an option.

What to Consider: As a popular and expansive resort, securing prime beach chairs might require an early start. Alternatively, consider booking a villa with butler service for guaranteed beachside bliss.

Beaches Turks and Caicos is a sprawling paradise featuring a 45,000-square-foot water park, 21 diverse restaurants, 10 shimmering swimming pools, and miles of pristine white-sand beaches. Younger guests can meet beloved Sesame Street characters, participating in delightful activities like baking with Cookie Monster and crafting puppets with Bert and Ernie. The resort’s exceptional kids camp provides specialized, complimentary programs for every age group: Infant Program (0-2 years), Toddler Program (3-4 years), Navigators Program (5-7 years), Adventurers Program (8-10 years), Tweens Program (11-14 years), and Teen Program (15-17 years). Beaches Turks and Caicos is also a Certified Autism Center, ensuring a welcoming and supportive environment for children with autism and other special needs, with dedicated staff trained to provide tailored assistance.

The 758-room resort is thoughtfully divided into five distinct villages, creating a more manageable and intimate feel within its grand scale. While all room categories offer comfort and style, larger families might appreciate the ultimate luxury of the three- and four-bedroom villas, complete with personalized butler service. Villa guests receive a dedicated cell phone upon arrival, enabling seamless communication with their butler for everything from restaurant reservations to in-villa breakfast service.

“I was genuinely amazed by the sheer number of dining options,” remarks Anna Popp, associate editor at T+L. “The food caters to everyone, from picky eaters to those seeking gourmet experiences.”

What We Like: Set on a secluded and pristine stretch of Negril’s famous sands, Royalton Negril, Autograph Collection provides spacious all-suite accommodations. Active families will appreciate the array of pursuits, including non-motorized water sports and tennis.

What to Consider: Access to the spa is not included in the all-inclusive package.

A stay at the vibrant Royalton Negril, Autograph Collection is guaranteed to delight guests of all ages. Even though my family’s stay was at the adults-only Hideaway at Royalton Negril, the shared amenities, activities, bars, and restaurants ensured a fantastic family experience.

Dining highlights include a superb buffet with a dedicated kids’ section featuring familiar favorites like chicken fingers and mozzarella sticks, a charming coffee and gelato shop for refreshing treats, and a lively hibachi restaurant where singing and dancing are part of the fun. Other notable restaurants include Calypso, specializing in flavorful West Indies cuisine, and Hunter Steakhouse, offering premium cuts and a curated wine list. For a truly special occasion, a seven-course chef’s table experience is available for an additional charge.

While parents enjoy tropical cocktails at the swim-up bar or relax at the spa, children aged 4-12 can have a blast at the kids club, and teens can socialize and play video games, ping pong, and tennis at the teen club. The expansive beach area on the family-friendly side offers non-motorized water sports like Hobie Cats and paddleboards.

Luxury suites provide a relaxing retreat after a day of activities. Family suites are particularly popular, featuring privacy doors separating the sofa area from the main room, and bathrooms with Jacuzzis for an added touch of luxury. Consider upgrading to the Diamond Club for butler service. Dedicated butlers can handle everything from reserving beach chairs and delivering refreshments to arranging dinner reservations, a particularly valuable service during peak seasons when securing large tables can be challenging.

The 12 Best Islands for Retirement, From the Caribbean to the Mediterranean

Know Before You Go

Understand the Different Pricing Structures

“While all-inclusives can offer great value, they aren’t always the least expensive option,” advises Vazquez. “Online bookings for all-inclusives are often priced based on occupancy. So, if you book a room for two but are a family of four, the room price will adjust.”

Additionally, be aware that some resorts offer free stays for children below a certain age, while others charge a fee. Establishing a budget beforehand is crucial to selecting a resort that aligns with your spending preferences.

Read the Fine Print

“‘All-inclusive’ definitions vary,” explains Vazquez. “Some properties might exclude water sports or specific beverage choices, so always read the fine print!”

Whether you’re seeking an all-inclusive family resort in Mexico, the Caribbean, or elsewhere, define your all-inclusive priorities before booking. Do you require complimentary motorized water sports? Are gratuities included? Do you prefer premium alcoholic beverages? Ensure the chosen property fulfills your specific needs and expectations.

Check for Seasonal Amenities

Certain activities, amenities, and facilities may be seasonal. For example, the Surf Shack at St. Lucia’s Coconut Bay Beach Resort, offering kitesurfing, wing foiling, and rentals, operates from November to June. At Curtain Bluff, the Cee Bee Kids Camp operates six days a week during peak holidays but five days a week during other periods.

How We Chose These Hotels

Travel writer Lauren Dana Ellman meticulously reviewed user reviews, ratings, and T+L editor selections, including World’s Best Award winners, to identify the top all-inclusive Caribbean resorts for families. She also consulted Henley Vazquez, a T+L A-List travel advisor specializing in Caribbean family travel. Lauren’s personal experience visiting over a dozen all-inclusive resorts, many in the Caribbean with her family, further informed the list. These recommendations align with our T+L Hotel Values.
