Welcome to the Kelly Family Sports Center at Grand Valley State University! To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, we have established the following regulations for all visitors. Please take a moment to review these guidelines before your visit.
TICKETS & ADMISSION
Purchasing Tickets in Advance:
To guarantee your entry and for your convenience, we highly recommend purchasing tickets prior to your arrival. You can secure your tickets online at gvsutickets.com or by calling our ticket office at 616-331-3200 during office hours, Monday through Friday, 9am to 4pm. Please note that all ticket sales are final, with no refunds or exchanges available. Event dates and times are subject to change. All tickets for GVSU athletic events are now digital for ease of access and security.
Same-Day Ticket Purchases at the Facility:
For college meets, tickets can be purchased at the Kelly Family Sports Center box office, located at the entrance, starting one hour before the event begins. For high school meets, we offer walk-up sales only, accepting credit card payments exclusively. Please be aware that Grand Valley State University is a cashless campus; therefore, we only accept credit card and tap-and-go payments at the venue. Cash is not accepted.
Will Call and Guest Tickets:
If you are picking up tickets at will call or are a guest of a GVSU athlete, please proceed to the designated table inside the entrance doors. Tickets can be collected starting one hour prior to the event start time. A valid photo ID is required for ticket pick-up.
GVSU Student Admission:
Grand Valley State University students enjoy free admission to all regular season meets. Simply present your valid GVSU student ID at the entrance for scanning to gain access.
Admission for Infants:
Children aged two years and under are admitted free of charge, provided they sit on a ticketed adult’s lap. Children older than two years will require a ticket for entry.
Facility Access Times:
Doors to the Kelly Family Sports Center will open one hour before the scheduled start time of each meet, allowing ample time for entry and seating.
Seating Arrangements:
For the safety and comfort of all attendees, spectators are required to remain in the upper level seating areas. The lower level of the Sports Center is reserved exclusively for participating athletes and their coaches.
Grand Valley State University retains the right to revoke ticket privileges if any university policies are violated. All GVSU policies are accessible at www.gvsu.edu/policies. By attending events at the Kelly Family Sports Center, ticket holders acknowledge and assume all risks associated with the event, whether occurring before, during, or after the actual event. Furthermore, attendees should be aware that there is a reasonable possibility of being included in video broadcasts or photography covering the event.
PROHIBITED ITEMS
To maintain a safe and pleasant environment within the Kelly Family Sports Center, we ask that spectators limit the items they bring into the facility to essential items only. The following items are strictly prohibited:
- Outside food or beverages of any kind.
- Food or drink deliveries to the spectator entrance.
- Personal seating, including folding chairs or camping chairs.
- Coolers of any size.
- Professional camera equipment such as long lens cameras, camcorders, and tripods.
- Pets or animals (with the exception of ADA-recognized service animals).
- Artificial noisemakers, including but not limited to air horns and whistles.
- Promotional items that are not officially distributed by GVSU Athletics or an approved partner.
- Weapons of any type.
- Illegal drugs, including medical marijuana.
PARKING INFORMATION
Complimentary parking is available in Lots F and G during event times for all visitors to the Kelly Family Sports Center. For detailed directions, please refer to the campus map available HERE.
MARKETING, PROMOTIONS, and SOLICITATION POLICIES
Grand Valley State University maintains a strict no solicitation policy at all athletic events and reserves all rights regarding marketing and promotions. This includes:
- Restrictions on promotional vehicles and signage on university grounds.
- Exclusive media rights covering video, streaming, social media, and audio broadcasts.
- Prohibition of any unauthorized signage or promotional activities within or around the arena or parking areas used for athletic events without explicit written consent from GVSU Athletics. Violators will face immediate removal at the owner’s or group’s expense.
- Prohibition of promotion for any business, venue, enterprise, product, service, or organization not officially authorized by GVSU Athletics.
- In accordance with the GVSU Grounds and Facility Use Policy, solicitation of any kind is not permitted during events (pre-game, during the game, or post-game). Distribution of items or flyers is also prohibited without prior written consent from GVSU Athletics.
- Only official GVSU Athletics sponsors and partners may be granted the right to have a promotional presence at our venues.

FAN AND PATRON CONDUCT EXPECTATIONS
The NCAA, GLIAC, and Grand Valley State University are committed to promoting good sportsmanship and have a zero-tolerance policy for abusive actions, language, or gestures from fans, athletes, coaches, or officials. Any extreme or repeated unsportsmanlike conduct may result in immediate ejection from the event. Inappropriate language or actions directed at GVSU Athletics personnel, ushers, or public safety officers will not be tolerated and may lead to immediate removal from the Kelly Family Sports Center and GVSU property. We encourage a positive and respectful atmosphere for all attendees at our Family Sport Center.
CONCESSIONS AND RESTROOM AVAILABILITY
For your convenience, concessions and restrooms are readily available inside the Kelly Family Sports Center throughout the duration of events.
