When reminiscing about classic animated family sitcoms, many think of “The Proud Family” as a relatable and grounded show, akin to “Hey Arnold!” with its focus on everyday teenage and family issues rather than fantastical adventures. Initially, the series presents itself as such, tackling familiar scenarios like throwing secret parties, credit card mishaps, and allowance debates.
