Accessing Your Test Results

- Patient Portal: Our secure patient portal is the quickest and most convenient way to access your test results. Our providers post results directly to the portal, often including follow-up instructions and comments regarding any abnormal findings. This is our primary method for delivering your test results efficiently.
- Follow-Up Appointments: For a more detailed discussion of your lab results, you are welcome to schedule a follow-up appointment with one of our providers. Appointments are particularly recommended for serious or complex findings that require in-depth explanation and planning.
- Routine Visit Follow-Up: In many cases, particularly for chronic conditions, your lab results can be reviewed and discussed during your next routine check-up.
- Proactive Communication for Significant Abnormalities: Rest assured, we will proactively contact you if any clinically significant abnormalities are detected in your test results. If we are unable to reach you by phone, we will send a certified letter requesting you to schedule an appointment to review your results.
- Copies of Records: You are always welcome to request copies of your medical records, including test results, by visiting our office. Please note that detailed explanations of results may require a follow-up appointment to ensure adequate time and provider attention.
Important Note: We do not contact patients via phone or mail for normal or insignificant findings on lab or imaging results. Please utilize the patient portal for efficient access to all your results.

Important Information for CarePlus Patients
Please be aware that our patient panel for CarePlus insurance plans typically closes annually at the end of Medicare’s Open Enrollment Period (AEP). Our CarePlus patient panel is currently closed to both new and existing patients. Unfortunately, patients who have not already designated Joel Biggers or Elizabeth Biggers as their Primary Care Physician (PCP) will not be able to do so at this time. We appreciate your understanding.
Self-Pay Options
For patients without insurance coverage, Biggers Family Medicine offers a time-of-service discount. The self-pay rate is $75 per visit, which covers the cost of your consultation with the provider. Please note that any necessary lab work or additional services will be charged separately.
