From the moment you check in, the adventure begins. Explore the beautiful Johns Island County Park and dive into a range of exciting activities before sunset. Challenge yourself on the climbing wall, be amazed by the Lowcountry RC Flyers demo, or try your hand at disc golf. Archery enthusiasts with their own equipment are also welcome to enjoy the range. As evening approaches, the fun truly kicks off:
- Delicious Dinner Included: From 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM, Grill Kings will be serving up a tasty dinner as part of your ticket price. Enjoy grilled hot dogs and hamburgers, alongside vegetarian baked beans and classic potato chips. Vegetarian burger options will be available, and drinks will include sweet tea, lemonade, and water. Feel free to bring your own snacks as well!
- Live Music to Set the Mood: From 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM, enjoy live music to enhance your family camp experience.
- Stargazing with Experts: Join the Lowcountry Stargazers for a captivating journey through the night sky. Learn about constellations and planets in an enchanting stargazing experience.
- Marshmallow Roasting Fun: Gather around the marshmallow roasting pit from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Marshmallows and roasting sticks are provided – perfect for creating sweet family memories.
- Rain or Shine Event: Don’t let the weather worry you – the Family Camp will proceed come rain or shine, ensuring a weekend of fun regardless of the forecast.
Check-in and Check-out Details
- Check-in: Saturday, March 15, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
- Check-out: Sunday, March 16, by 10:00 AM. While you need to pack up your campsite by 10:00 AM on Sunday, campers are welcome to continue enjoying the park throughout the day.

Family Camp Event Schedule
Saturday, March 15, 2025:
1:00 PM – 5:00 PM: Check-in, Setup, and Park Exploration: Arrive, set up your campsite, and explore all that Johns Island County Park has to offer. Activities include exploring park trails, disc golf, and the climbing wall.
2:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Lowcountry RC Flyers Demo: Witness impressive remote-controlled aircraft demonstrations.
5:30 PM – 7:30 PM: Dinner Provided by Grill Kings: Enjoy a delicious and convenient meal included with your registration.
6:00 PM – 8:30 PM: Live Music by Carley Kleban: Relax and enjoy live music as the sun sets.
7:00 PM – 9:00 PM: Marshmallow Roasting: A classic camping treat for everyone to enjoy.
8:00 PM: Lowcountry Stargazers Presentation: Discover the wonders of the night sky with expert stargazers.

10:00 AM: Check-out: Please ensure your campsite is packed up by this time.

Dinner will feature crowd-pleasing options including grilled hot dogs and hamburgers, vegetarian baked beans, and potato chips. A vegetarian burger alternative is also available. Beverages provided are sweet tea, lemonade, and water.
Important Camping Rules for a Smooth Experience
To ensure a safe and enjoyable family camp for everyone, please adhere to the following rules:
- Park Hours: The park is closed to the public from sunset to sunrise.
- No Sleeping in Vehicles (Except RVs): Sleeping in cars is not permitted; however, RV camping can be arranged for an extra fee.
- Vehicle Parking: Vehicles must be parked in designated parking areas, not at campsites. Designated unloading/loading zones are available near campsites for gear.
- Campsite Allocation: Campsites within the designated camping area are not assigned and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Picnic Tables: Shared picnic tables are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Equestrian Camping: Not permitted for this event.
- Adult Supervision: All campers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult throughout the event.
- Alcohol and Open Fires Prohibited: Alcoholic beverages and open fires are not allowed. Cooking is permitted only with approved camp stoves.
- No Pets Allowed: For the comfort and safety of all campers, pets are not permitted.
- Prohibited Items: Fireworks, drones, and other dangerous projectiles are strictly prohibited.
- Quiet Hours: Please observe quiet hours from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
- Golf Carts and Scooters: Golf carts are allowed on showgrounds and roadways within Johns Island County Park with valid driver’s license and insurance. Golf carts and electric scooters (except mobility scooters) are not allowed on park trails.
- Smoking and Tobacco: Smoking, vaping, or tobacco use is prohibited within the park.
- Park Rules Apply: All Johns Island County Park Rules are also in effect. Local law enforcement and the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources have jurisdiction at this facility.
