Since 1979, Family Health has been dedicated to providing comprehensive primary care services to the residents of Mobile County. With a network of 11 health center sites strategically located throughout the region, from Mount Vernon to Tillman’s Corner and into Baldwin County, Family Health ensures accessible healthcare for communities where needs are greatest and access is most limited. As a Federally Qualified Health Center, each site upholds the highest standards of care, further recognized by accreditation from the Joint Commission and designation as a Primary Care Medical Home since 2013.
To extend its reach, Family Health operates a mobile health unit. This mobile facility, equipped with two state-of-the-art exam rooms, delivers essential primary care and wellness screenings directly to residents within communities who may face transportation barriers to traditional health centers. The Mobile County Health Department, Family Health’s parent organization, is a Federal Tort Claims Act deemed facility. This designation underscores Family Health’s commitment to providing secure and reliable healthcare services, supported by HHS funding and Federal PHS deemed status for health-related claims, including medical malpractice.
