It feels a bit vulnerable to share this, but I’m excited to talk about a recent experience. This past month, I had the privilege of being featured on the Focus On The Family Broadcast. I joined them to discuss my book, Permanent Markers: Spiritual Life Skills to Write on Your Kids’ Hearts, published by Harvest House.
Despite feeling a healthy dose of imposter syndrome, being on the Focus on the Family broadcast was truly a remarkable experience. For anyone who enjoys this kind of content, you might also find my previous interviews with FamilyLife Today interesting as well.
And here’s even more exciting news: I’ve been invited back to Focus on the Family to record again in October! I’m still a bit surprised and incredibly grateful for this opportunity. I’d love for you to listen to the first episode and see what you think.
More importantly than my personal experience, I want to emphasize my deep desire to support you in your journey of raising children who wholeheartedly love Jesus.
If you’re new to the concepts in Permanent Markers or just looking for practical resources, I offer a wealth of free printables on my website. These resources are designed to help you teach the book’s spiritual life skills and engage your children in meaningful, faith-based habits.
I deeply understand the everyday chaos of family life. I know how overwhelming it can feel to add one more thing to your already packed schedule, especially when just getting kids to remember basic chores feels like a win.
However, I also recognize the vital, urgent need to instill lasting, unshakeable habits in our children – habits that will equip them for a vibrant relationship with Jesus. My aim is to provide you with doable, creative ways to disciple your kids, methods that can realistically fit into your everyday life, even amidst the dinner table negotiations and homework battles.
Remember, God cherishes our wonderfully unique, sometimes “squirrely” kids – just as they are. (And yes, that definitely includes mine!)
