Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi is officially back in the house for season 5 of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, much to the delight of fans worldwide! After taking a break at the end of 2019, Snooki is returning as a full-time cast member, reuniting with her beloved roomies for more family vacation fun, starting January 6, 2022.

Fans will remember Snooki’s departure from the show after season 3, a season heavily impacted by drama, particularly surrounding Angelina Pivarnick. Snooki cited the negativity and a desire to focus on her family as her reasons for stepping away from the Jersey Shore spotlight. However, the lure of her Jersey Shore family and the promise of good times proved too strong, bringing her back into the fold for season 5.

“I felt good with myself coming back,” Nicole exclusively told HollywoodLife. “I definitely needed a break from all the drama. I just hate drama. I love happy, positive, fun times and it just wasn’t that for a while. I needed to take a step back to figure out what was happening. But I’m excited to be back. I missed all my roomies and I had a great time this season. I enjoyed myself on vacation, I brought my daughter, and she got to hang out with all the other kids. So it was such a fun time this season.” Her words highlight a refreshed perspective and a yearning for the lighthearted camaraderie that Jersey Shore is known for.
