For over 35 years, he has been an active volunteer and past Chairman of the Grand Haven Coast Guard Festival Committee, a testament to his commitment to community events. His service extends to various organizations including the Community Center’s Citizen Advisory Board, Harbor Board, Worship on the Waterfront, Habitat for Humanity, Love in Action, and the Mulligan’s Hollow Ski Bowl Expansion Team. Scott’s past involvement also includes the Grand Haven Jaycees, Ottawa County United Way, and the Grand Haven Christian School Board, illustrating his wide-ranging contributions to the area.
