Are you passionate about sports and making a positive impact on young lives? The O’Fallon Family YMCA in Missouri is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to join our team as youth sports coaches! This is a fantastic opportunity to give back to your community, mentor children, and help them develop essential skills through sports.
As a volunteer youth sports coach at the O’Fallon Family YMCA, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping the experiences of our young athletes. You will be the primary point of contact for your team, ensuring smooth communication and organization throughout the season. From distributing jerseys at the season’s start to handing out well-deserved medals at the end, you’ll be there every step of the way. We’ll equip you with all the necessary tools for success, including comprehensive coaching training that must be completed before the first game. Familiarity with the rules outlined in our rule book, coaches guide, and parent handbook – all provided by the Sports Program Director – is also essential to ensure a fair and enjoyable environment for everyone.
Your main responsibility will be to create a fun, safe, and enriching sporting experience for a group of children. This involves teaching individual and team game skills, fostering good sportsmanship, and emphasizing fair play. We believe in the power of sports to instill valuable life lessons, and as a coach, you’ll be instrumental in this process.
