Brian LeRoy Nielsen, aged 66, peacefully passed away at his American Fork home on Sunday, December 29, 2024. We deeply mourn the loss of a cherished Husband, Father, Brother, and a true friend to many within his community.

Brian was a radiant beacon of light in the lives he touched. His departure from this earthly realm leaves behind a profound legacy of warmth, kindness, and gentle strength. Brian navigated life with unforgettable grace, leaving a positive impact on everyone fortunate enough to cross his path. His dedication extended to his family, friends, neighbors, and workplaces, consistently striving to make the world a brighter place through his actions and spirit.

Born in Provo, Utah on October 11, 1958, to Edward LeRoy and VerNell Cook Nielsen, Brian spent his formative years growing up and attending school in Provo. His Christian faith was a cornerstone of his life; Brian had a deep relationship with the Lord, and his faith was evident in his daily living.

Brian embraced life with a wide array of hobbies and passions. He possessed a remarkable ability to find joy in life’s simple pleasures, a quality he encouraged in all those around him. He exemplified love, kindness, and hard work, especially in his devotion to his children and grandchildren. Professionally, Brian was a dedicated truck driver in the Concrete and Rock Products industry, known for his strong work ethic and commitment to providing for his family. In his leisure time, Brian found solace and joy in the outdoors, indulging in activities such as golfing, fishing, boating, camping, and snow skiing. He also enjoyed tinkering with projects, gardening, and home remodeling. His family cabin in Midway held a special place in his heart, serving as his favorite retreat. At the time of his passing, he was in the midst of remodeling his garage, a project that will stand as one of his enduring legacies, even in its continuation without him.

Brian is survived by his loving wife, Julie Connelly Nielsen; his son, Jared Brian (Heidi) Nielsen of Lindon, Utah; his daughters, Ashley Nielsen (Cole) Rose of Murray, Utah, Emily Nielsen (Lloyd) Kianfar of Murray, and Hannah Nielsen (Travis “TJ”) Orr; six adored grandchildren; his brother, James O. (Lisa) Nielsen, and his sisters, Lori Nielsen (Charles) Griffith, and Raquel Nielsen Hale. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward LeRoy and VerNell Cook Nielsen, his sister Saundra, and his brother Lon.

Join us to celebrate Brian’s life at a Celebration of Life service to be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Olpin Family Mortuary, located at 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove, Utah.
