The instant success led to the opening of a second, downtown location on Johnson Street, which became legendary for its lively lunch and dinner crowds, and especially for those memorable late-night meals.
Building on this early triumph, the Mavrikos brothers expanded Romeo’s presence across Vancouver Island, always staying true to the core values that had fueled their initial success. With the dedication of their growing families and the partnership of franchisees Nick & Chris Kamaretsos, Romeo Family Restaurant has flourished into the thriving establishment it is today. Romeo’s has been a beloved fixture in the Hillside area since 1974, conveniently located near the Hillside Shopping Centre. Over the decades, our Hillside restaurant has consistently been recognized as Victoria’s best pizza, earning numerous awards.
