Following the 5K race, brace yourselves for the highlight of the day – the Polar Bear Plunge! Witness (or participate!) as brave individuals take the plunge into the bracingly cold water. It’s an exhilarating experience and a true test of spirit! Warm up after with complimentary hot cocoa and gather around toasty fire pits as we celebrate achievements during the 5K award ceremony. It’s the perfect way to cap off a morning of fun, fitness, and community support at the Schertz Family YMCA.
All participants in the 5K race will be rewarded with a commemorative moisture-wicking t-shirt and a finisher’s medal to remember their accomplishment. For those daring enough to participate solely in the Polar Bear Plunge, a special commemorative cotton t-shirt will be provided to mark your bravery!
