Aloha! For over half a century, our family has been honored to welcome guests to our tropical paradise nestled in the sacred Wailua River Valley. What started with Grandpa’s dream has blossomed into a cherished family business, celebrating the true Hawaiian spirit of aloha. Today, as four generations continue this legacy, we invite you to join us for the most beloved of Hawaiian traditions: the luau. Share in the stories of our island home and become a part of our ‘ohana – our family.
A Feast for the Senses: The Luau Pa‘ina
At the heart of our Smith Family Garden Luau is the pa‘ina, the feast, and we promise you will leave satisfied! Our tables are laden with a delicious array of island flavors. Savor the traditional Kalua pig, slow-roasted to perfection in our earthen imu oven. Enjoy Cousin Gary’s famous teriyaki beef recipe, alongside fresh ono mahimahi, and flavorful chicken adobo. And of course, no luau is complete without Grandma’s poi – which we encourage everyone to try! As dinner winds down, we might even invite a few of you to the stage to learn some basic hula steps, adding a touch of interactive fun to your evening.
Rhythm and Soul: Music and Dance of the Islands
While the food nourishes the body, music is the soul of the luau. Our Hawaiian ancestors preserved their history through mele, songs and chants passed down through generations. At our luau, we honor these traditions and celebrate the diverse cultures that make Hawaii so vibrant. Experience the graceful movements of the Hawaiian hula, the energetic rhythms of Tahitian drum dances, and the breathtaking intensity of the Samoan fire knife dance. These performances showcase the rich tapestry of cultures that have found a home in Hawaii, and we are proud to share this rhythm of aloha with you.
Meet the Smith Family: Generations of Aloha
Kamika Smith, General Manager / Vocals / Ukulele, is just one member of our family dedicated to making your luau experience unforgettable. We are deeply rooted in this land and committed to sharing the aloha spirit that Grandpa instilled in us from the beginning. It’s more than just a business; it’s our family’s way of life, and we welcome you to experience that warmth and hospitality firsthand.
