Guidelines for Donating Goods:
To ensure your donations can be accepted and sold, please keep these guidelines in mind:
- Acceptable Furniture: Furniture should be in good working order, structurally sound, and free from major damage like rips, stains, pet hair, cracked leather, or water damage. All parts should be present and functioning.
- Working Electronics: Electrical, electronic, and gasoline-powered items are welcomed, provided they are in working condition. Gasoline must be drained from any gas-powered equipment before donation.
Items We Cannot Accept:
Unfortunately, due to regulations and processing costs, The Salvation Army Family Store and Donation Center cannot accept certain items. Your understanding helps us maximize our resources for community programs. Please refrain from donating:
- Water beds, magazines, copiers/office machines, light fixtures, trundle beds, toys, pool tables, vanities with plumbing, ping pong tables, old computer monitors (must be flat-screen), printers older than 5 years, encyclopedias, kerosene heaters, gas grills (charcoal grills accepted), broken or rusty appliances, console TVs (flat screens accepted), pianos and organs (electronic keyboards accepted), auto parts, paint or chemicals, infant furniture over 10 years old, car seats, lawnmowers with gas, and unframed mirrors.
