Affordable Healthcare for Everyone: Sliding Fee Scale and Insurance
Family Tree Clinic is committed to making healthcare affordable for everyone. We operate as a sliding fee clinic, meaning that the cost of your visit is adjusted based on your income.
For many patients, especially those eligible for the Minnesota Family Planning Program, our services, including birth control and annual exams, may be free. For those not eligible for this program, our sliding fee scale ensures that you will be charged between 25 to 100 percent of the actual cost of your visit, depending on your income level. We believe that financial concerns should never be a barrier to accessing necessary healthcare.
We understand that managing healthcare costs can be stressful. If you are unable to pay your entire bill at the time of your visit, we offer flexible payment plans and can bill you for the remaining balance. For your privacy, we are also happy to send bills in plain envelopes. We accept various forms of payment, including Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, checks, money orders, and cash, and offer convenient payment options online or over the phone.
Family Tree Clinic also accepts most state and private health insurance plans. To ensure coverage at Family Tree Clinic, we recommend checking with your insurance provider beforehand. Please be aware that if your coverage is through a parent’s policy, they may receive a copy of the charges from the insurance company.
