Group reservations are available Monday through Friday, from June 2nd to August 8th, providing a fantastic opportunity for summer fun. Reservations open on February 4th and are processed on a first-come, first-served basis, so early booking is highly recommended. To ensure availability, please provide a second date choice in case your first preference is fully booked.
Group Reservation Essentials for Mystic Waters
When planning your group visit to Mystic Waters Family Aquatic Center, safety and supervision are paramount. For groups with children under 10 years of age, a counselor-to-camper ratio of 1:5 is mandatory. For groups with children aged 10 years and older, the required ratio is 1:10. It is crucial to adhere to these safety minimums, as groups not meeting these requirements will unfortunately be refused admission to ensure the well-being of all guests.
Lunch Options for Groups
Mystic Waters accommodates various lunch preferences for your group. You are welcome to bring your own sack lunches, offering a cost-effective and convenient option. Alternatively, the Island Café at Mystic Waters provides a range of food items for purchase. Lunch times for groups will be assigned on the day of your visit to manage facility flow. Please note that the Island Café opens at 11:30 AM.
Payment and Insurance Requirements
To secure your group reservation at Mystic Waters Family Aquatic Center, a $50 deposit per visit is required with each reservation form. Reservation requests will not be processed without a deposit. This deposit will be applied towards your total balance due upon arrival. The remaining balance is payable at the entrance on the day of your trip. Pre-payment of the full amount is also an available option for your convenience. Regarding refunds, please be aware that refunds are only issued for amounts exceeding $10.00. Checks should be made payable to the Des Plaines Park District.
A critical component of your group reservation is providing a Certificate of Insurance. The Des Plaines Park District requires a copy of your Certificate of Insurance in the amount of $1,000,000.00 (one million dollars). This certificate must include specific language stating: “Additional insured for 1 million dollars which is to include the Des Plaines Park District, its officers, employees, volunteers, and agents.” Furthermore, the document must explicitly list the dates of your group rental. Organizations that are members of the Park District Risk Management Agency (PDRMA) are exempt from this insurance requirement.
Confirmation and Refund Policy
Upon processing your reservation, a confirmation email will be sent to you, containing essential details and further information about your upcoming visit to Mystic Waters. Regarding cancellations, please be aware that cancellations initiated by your group may lead to rescheduling possibilities or forfeiture of your $50 deposit. In the event that the Des Plaines Park District cancels your reservation due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances, you will be offered the option to reschedule or receive a full refund of your deposit.
