Narine Milter, APRN, FNP-C brings a wealth of experience and a patient-centered approach to Wiseman Family Practice. Her journey in healthcare began in 1989 in Kiev, Ukraine, where she started her career as a nurse. After moving to the United States in 1993 and initially exploring a different path in computer science, Narine’s passion for nursing drew her back to her true calling. She returned to her healthcare roots, solidifying her commitment to patient well-being and ultimately joining Wiseman Family Practice in Austin, Texas.
Narine’s dedication to providing comprehensive care is evident in her extensive education and diverse background. She earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Computer Science in 2000, showcasing her analytical skills and intellectual versatility. However, driven by her innate desire to care for others, she pursued an Accelerated Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing program at Rush University in Chicago. While practicing as a registered nurse in the Intensive Medical Care Unit (IMCU) at Northwestern Medicine in Chicago, she further advanced her expertise by obtaining a Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Alverno College in Milwaukee, WI. This rigorous academic path equipped her with a strong foundation in both acute and chronic care management, perfectly aligning with the values of Wiseman Family Practice.
Joining Wiseman Family Practice in August 2021 after relocating to Austin with her family, Narine is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing. Her professional affiliations include esteemed organizations such as the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Texas Nurse Practitioners, Austin Advanced Practice Nurses, the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. These memberships highlight her commitment to staying at the forefront of nursing practice and providing the highest quality care at Wiseman Family Practice. Narine’s experience spans across cardiology, home healthcare, and the management of both acute and chronic conditions. At Wiseman Family Practice, her approach is deeply rooted in patient education, empowering individuals to actively participate in their healthcare journey.
Narine’s interests are broad and reflect the holistic philosophy of Wiseman Family Practice. She is passionate about general family medicine, integrative and functional medicine, nutrition, bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, and pediatrics. Her goal is to empower her patients at Wiseman Family Practice to take a proactive role in their health, encouraging them to care for themselves comprehensively. Outside of her dedication to her patients at Wiseman Family Practice, Narine resides in the Leander community and enjoys family time, reading, traveling, exploring Austin, and staying active with fitness. She is a valuable asset to Wiseman Family Practice, bringing not only exceptional skills but also a genuine commitment to the health and wellness of her patients.
